Web Video Conference - Desktop Video Conference
Technology has greatly changed the way people communicate. First there were telephones, and these allowed people to converse with people in far places. Cellular phones then came, and people were able to communicate while they are on the go. The Internet has also helped people reach those they want to contact; chat rooms made it easier for people to send messages to each other. Aside from this method being cheap, chatting is also easy to learn, thus allowing more people to utilize these online services. In the recent years, communicating through the Internet has taken even greater leaps. While people could send messages through chatting, some find chatting a bit impersonal.
After all, you can’t see the other person’s emotions, so there is that doubt if the other person really means what he or she says. Moreover, emoticons can convey emotions, but nothing beats seeing the person face to face. Fortunately, some genius came up with the idea of web video conference. This method is like chatting, only better; it’s a lot better, actually. While the method is still considerably cheap compared to making long distance calls, this also allows people to see who they are talking to. This makes communication more genuine, because it’s almost like seeing the other person in the flesh. To get started, all you need is a computer and a web camera. This allows people to see each other, while microphones and speakers allow the people conversing to speak and hear. Of course, you have to have an Internet connection to make this set-up work. The steps are pretty easy to figure out, so it’s no surprise that more and more people are becoming hooked on web video conferencing.
